The Creator, are the AI this dangerous?

The Creator
is a 2023 movie directed by Gareth Edwards.

In a futurist civilization AIs are way much more developed and are here to help us, humans, in our day to day life.

Unfortunately, one day the AIs made a nuclear bomb explode in Los Angeles and now the US government wants to

destroy all the AI on Earth to avoid another catastrophe made by tha AIs.

The AIs seek refugee in New Asia in which they are still legal.

In this movie we follow Joshua, played by Josh David Washington, an ex-American military man married to Maya,

played by Gemma Chan, who tragically died when an American military arrived to tell Joshua that he knows the

true identity of Nermata (which means "creator" in Nepalese).

Five years after the loss of his pregnant wife Joshua is contacted by the army to go back to New Asia and give him

the hope to find Maya alive.

Once in New Asia he has a mission, with some others, to destroy the most powerful AI ever created nearby where

Josh and Maya were living (yeah I will say Josh I'm done writing his name fully).

Josh didn't kill it when he met the AI because, unlike the others, it is a child. While protecting this child to find

Maya he discovers the whole truth about Maya, the AIs and the child.

The movie is excellent, well written, well played, really moving and makes me think about AIs. Are they really

dangerous? Are they really the next species that will take over the world?

5/5 Everything about this movie is perfect.

See you next week for the next article. We can even share a raclette together.
