Spiderman New Generation, an introduction to the spiderverse

Spiderman New Generation is a 2018 animated movie directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney

Rothman.

Miles Morales, son of the police officer Jefferson Davis, goes with his uncle Aaron Davis in an abandoned subway

tunnel and gets bitten by a spider and becomes spiderman.

He realizes that he's not the only spiderman by meeting some of his variants: Peter B. Parker (his mentor without a

sense of style), Gwen Stacey (of course he falls for her), Spider-Ham (a fucking pig... I'm already done with the

spider verse) and Penny Parker (a japanese anime style spiderwoman). Those spidies crossed the multiverse

because of the spider who bite Miles, because it came from another universe and was supposed to bite Miles'

variant (important detail for the story and the next animated movies).

They all gotta fight the Kingpin (who's the reason why the spider who bite Miles instead of his variant) to make

every spidies to come back in their native reality and make them stop glitching from being in the wrong one.

Miles makes them succeed by finally being able to control his powers.

The animation is great they're able to mix varied drawing styles to show the varied realities even though it is not

really seen in this opus.

5/5 the drawings, the story and the variety of spidies is perfect. We find back the same things that make a

spiderman a spiderman but every time they use it in a spiderman movie it is well written and in this one it great to

see it otherwise, the fact that the policeman who hunts Spiderman down is his own father is great, that his uncle

(who, for once, ain't called Ben) dies but is also a villain (which is SO cool that change a lot from the previous

adaptations).
