Moon Knight, the Egyptian arrival in the MCU

Moon Knight
is a 2022 Marvel series released on Disney+.

Steven Grant, played by Oscar Isaac, works at the gift shop of a Londonian Museum and he discovers that he suffers from DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) and that he was created by Marc Spector (the original identity) when he was a child.

Steven learns that Marc is Khonshu's avatar, the god of the moon and protector of travelers. He also learns about Marc's past and the reason for his creation.

Meanwhile they have to stop Arthur Harrow, played by Ethan Hawke, who wants to bring back Ammit, a bannish goddess, who wants to kill people before they commit crimes by judging them while weighing their heart.

This series is extremely well done, all this games of mirrors to show the internal discussions between Marc and Steven. The acting skills of Oscar Isaac in this series is extremely impressive, playing different personalities who switch really easily is not something quite easy.

4.9/5 The series is excellent but I can't give it a 5/5 because it is not mythologically accurate. Khonshu was like he's depicted in the series but at the very beginning of Egyptian mythology, the care of the dead is not done by Taouret (she's the goddess of fertility and the act of giving birth) but by Anubis.
