Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a 2022 movie directed by
Sam Raimi and directly linked to Wandavision.
Stephen Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, got up from a strange
dream that happens to be real, what he saw in that dream happened to one
of his variants in the multiverse.
His variant died while trying to save America Chavez, played by Xotchil
Gomez, from a monster who tries to catch her.
America found our Doctor Strange. I'll say our to don't loose ourselves
with the amounts of variants of characters in this movie because it's a fucking mess and it can give a stroke to anyone who doesn't know the MCU.
So America finds our Strange while a monster was chasing her, he saves
her but she doesn't know if she can trust this Strange because she met
some of his variants and gosh apparently they're dicks.
Strange goes to meet Wanda to have some help for America and realize that
she's the one after America. Wanda wants America's powers to be with her
children she lost at the end of Wandavision and she knows that they're
alive out there in the multiverse and want to live happily ever after with them.
Our Strange tries to change her mind but talks to a wall because she's
determined and even destroys Kamar-Taj just to get America.
Unluckily the Scarlet Witch scares the teenager and both America and
Stephen cross the multiverse to land in one in which his variant died and
got corrupted by the Darkhold and was killed by the Illuminaties to
avoid issues in their reality.
The Illuminaties are scared that our Strange will make the multiverse
collapse by being in one he's not supposed to be but meanwhile Wanda possesses her variant of the reality in which America and our Strange are
and kills the Illuminaties like flies.
Strange and America are helped by the Christine of this reality, Christine is the woman that Strange loves and messed up his relationship with (and apparently all the Stranges have this ability to mess up their relationship with their Christine, a talent that crosses the multiverse).
The three of them get to the book of Vishanti to stop Wanda, who destroys it before bringing the teenager to the reality we follow in the MCU.
Strange uses dreamwalking to help America to control her powers and thanks to that she makes Wanda realize her mistake.
Wanda kills herself while destroying the temple to avoid that someone else get corrupted by the Darkhold.
It's a great movie that introduces the multiverse to our timeline, even though the series Loki did it first but from another point of view.
5/5 The movie is well done, the special effects *chef kiss*. The casting is great.
See you next week for the next article. We can even share a raclette together.
