Beauty and the Beast, how Disney readapt their own classics

In this article I will do a comparison of the two Disney's adaptations of Beauty and the Beast released in 1991 and 2017.

As usual Disney made a family friendly adaptation of the tale, even if I think that it is one of the softest.

Both interpretations are interesting to see and both have their own perspective on the tale because of the tiny differences.

In the 1991's adaptation thanks to the cartoon the castle employees seem more humanized when they are in their object form under the spell of the fairy even though they are more realistic in the 2017's adaptation. The Beast, Prince Adam is more scary and his personality is not really developed. Meanwhile in the 2017's adaptation the background and personality of the characters are more developed. The Beast is more humanized and the spectator understands more the reason for his transformation thanks to the beginning screened into a ball scene instead of using stained-glass windows.

Both adaptations are beautiful and have their own way to see the tale. Disney try to put back the light on its classics while there are other tales which wait to be adapted by the studios and I'd love to see Disney finally adapt them. I'd love to hear your propositions of tales that you would love to be adapted by Disney, something from your country and not really known or even a more famous tale.

(I won't give a notation when I do a movie comparison)
